Brendan Courtney serves as president and chief executive officer of HealthTrust Workforce Solutions. With more than 25 years of proven business success in the professional staffing and recruiting field, Brendan has led innovative workforce management strategies to help clients, from Fortune 500 companies to small and medium-sized businesses, increase cash flow, gain operational efficiencies, and enhance staffing quality. He drives meaningful client solutions by leveraging his expertise in effective strategic planning, change management, and process improvements and systems conversions.

Before joining HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, Brendan served as president of Randstad Finance & Accounting, Randstad Human Resources and The Mergis Group, one of the nation’s leading specialized professional placement firms. During his tenure, he spearheaded the development of a new organizational design, compensation programs, operating model and future -state technology plans for the company.

Prior to this role, he served for three years as president of The Mergis Group and Todays Office Professionals. 

Earlier in his career, Brendan spent 14 years in expanding leadership roles at Spherion Corporation and Spherion Professional Services Group, as well as 11 years in development and management of recruiting capabilities at A.J. Burton Group.

Brendan earned a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.
