Peter Beeby
CEO, Prospectus
Peter’s passion for Prospectus is driven by his belief in the value of professional recruitment services, building careers and enabling the not for profit sector to find the best talent. Peter is responsible for business strategy and governance as well as the continual improvement of how we work and provide a high quality service to our candidates and clients.
Peter’s background is in finance, operational management and business strategy. Joining the finance department within Prospectus in 2000, Peter developed as the company grew to become Chief Operating Officer. Since taking on the role of CEO in 2019, Peter has ensured diversity and inclusion, both within our own organisation and through the placements we make with clients, is a central part of Prospectus’ strategy and development. Peter has steered the organisation through the pandemic ensuring purpose and values never became side-lined.
Prospectus has always been a purpose driven business through our approach to sustainability, the environment and ethnicity, diversity and inclusion. We were the first recruitment agency to be awarded Bcorp status and have been signed up as a Disability Confident organisation for over fifteen years.
Peter has also worked in partnership with charities on several projects covering employability and supporting young people and is passionate about volunteering. In 2021, Peter set up access to the DWP Kickstart Scheme, which provided funding to employers to create jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit. This acted as both a business opportunity and community opportunity to enable the sector to access some of the hardest to reach candidates, which in most cases led to permanent employment.
Peter’s voluntary work has included his position as Chair of Trustees at Timebank, the national volunteering charity, and he has participated on the Nationwide Building Society Community Board, awarding grants to housing related charities and projects.

Future-Proofing Your Growth Through Diversification
For the past few years, the recruitment industry has been on a rollercoaster from a global pandemic to rapid growth to looming economic uncertainty. Diversification has proven a popular strategy to adapt to these changes by allowing firms to stay agile and continue to grow. However, the ways in which firms diversify vary greatly: expanding core services, entering new geographic markets, launching new offerings like direct sourcing and SOW, or operating as a B-corp all offer businesses new opportunities. In this session, a panel of industry leaders will share how they’ve approached diversification in their own agencies and offer advice for others to consider when pursuing diversification as a growth strategy.
